These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the energystoragedisease.com website and the Energy Storage Disease mobile application (collectively, the "Service"), operated by energystoragedisease.com ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

The Service provides general educational information about metabolic health, insulin resistance, and Type 2 Diabetes. All content — including the HOMA-IR calculator, lab reference ranges, research summaries, and reversal statistics — is for informational and educational purposes only.

The HOMA-IR calculator produces an estimate based on the formula (glucose × insulin) / 405. It is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace clinical laboratory evaluation.
Lab reference ranges on the site reflect published research thresholds, not universal clinical standards. Your clinician may use different reference ranges appropriate to your specific situation.
Research summaries cite peer-reviewed literature accurately but do not constitute a systematic review or meta-analysis. Individual results vary.

2. No Doctor-Patient Relationship

Use of this Service does not create a doctor-patient or any other healthcare provider relationship between you and energystoragedisease.com or its operators. We are not licensed healthcare providers. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you read or calculated on this Service.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:

Reproduce, sell, or commercially exploit the Service's content without written permission
Use automated means to scrape, index, or copy the Service's content
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
Use the Service in any way that could harm, disable, or overburden our infrastructure

You may share individual pages or the HOMA-IR calculator result for personal, non-commercial educational purposes with attribution to energystoragedisease.com.

5. Mobile App — Additional Terms

The app is available on iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play). Your use of those platforms is also governed by Apple's and Google's respective terms.
The HOMA-IR history stored on your device is yours. We do not access it. Uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored data.
We may release updates that change features. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.
